How to Join the NRT Program
Timeline for admission
Prospective students should seek nominations from faculty to participate in the Internet of Catalysis NRT as trainees in the fall semester of their 1st or 2nd year (preferably) of graduate school.
Review and acceptance of trainees begins in November.
The 1-year training program starts in January with the Winter FLY event. This event occurs during winter break, the week before the start of the spring semester.
- Apply and be admitted to an appropriate graduate program at KU (chemistry, chemical engineering, or computer science).
- Have a faculty advisor who is willing to endorse your full participation in the NRT program. Advisors must understand and support its goals, including the fact that you will write an interdisciplinary chapter for your thesis or dissertation based on the research in this program.
- To express your interest in the NRT program, contact the team at firstname.lastname@example.org. Email your curriculum vitae and a 1-page statement of purpose describing how the NRT's interdisciplinary training could advance your graduate study and enhance the experience of other trainees in the program.
Please submit these materials by November 1. We will begin making selections for the next cohort in November and continue until all positions are filled.
